가엾은
죄인, 나의 자녀들아! 너희 자신을 나로부터 멀어지게 하지 말아라.
나는 어디에나 있을수 있는 성소에서 밤이고 낮이고 너를 기다린다. 나는 너의 죄악을 꾸짖지
않을 것이다; 나는 네 죄를 너의 면상에 집어 던지지 않을 것이다. 내가
너에게 해줄 일은, 내 상처의 피로써 너를 닦아주는 것이다. 두려워 말고 나에게
오라. 너는 내가 너를 얼마나 사랑하는지 모른다. 그리고 너희 인간들은
왜 나의 사랑에 대해 냉정하고 무관심하단 말이냐? 나는 네가 네 식구와
집과 그리고 끊임없이 너를 부르는 이 세상에서 필요한 일들을 돌봐야
한다는 것을 안다. 하지만, 네게는 내게 다가와서 너의 사랑과 감사의
증거를 줄 잠깐의 시간마저 없다는 말이냐? 그 많은 소용없는 근심이
너를 사로잡게 놓아두지 말아라; 사랑의 포로인 나를 방문할 네 시간의
한 순간을 마련해 두어라. 네 몸이 아플 때 너는 병을 고치려고 의사를
찾아가는 잠시의 시간도 찾지 못하느냐? 너에게 영혼의 힘과 건강을
줄 수 있는 그분에게로 오거라. 너를 부르고, 너를 원하며, 너를 기다리는
이 구걸하는 신에게 사랑의 구호품을 다오.

My
children, poor sinners! Do not distance yourselves from Me. I wait
for you night and day at the Tabernacle. I will not reproach your
crimes; I will not throw your sins in your face. What I will do
is to wash you with the Blood of My wounds. Do not be afraid, come
to Me. You do not know how much I love you. And you, dear souls,
why are you cold and indifferent to My Love? I know you have to
attend to the needs of your family, your home, and of the world
that constantly calls for you. But, do you not have a moment to
come and give Me proof of your love and gratitude? Do not let so
many useless worries pull you away; reserve a moment of your time
to visit the Prisoner of Love. If your body is sick, can you not
find a few minutes to look for a physician to cure you? Come to
He who can give you the strength and health of the soul. Give alms
of love to this Divine Beggar, who calls you, wants you, and waits
for you.
